Privacy Policy

Account and profile information

When you create an account, you provide your first name, email address, and password. Supabase, our authentication provider, processes these details and account identifiers to create and authenticate your account, confirm your email, and handle password recovery. Authentication also involves session tokens and service security records, which may include IP addresses and timestamps.

You can enter age, weight, resting heart rate, estimated maximum heart rate, and workout preferences in the app. These profile values are stored on your device and used to calculate training targets and personalize the experience. They are not uploaded to our authentication service as part of your profile.

Apple Health information

With your permission, VOTRAIN may read heart rate, resting heart rate, VO₂ max, walking heart-rate average, body mass, date of birth, and biological sex from Apple Health. The app uses these values to personalize training zones, display workout guidance, and show relevant progress.

During an Apple Watch workout, VOTRAIN may write completed workout information and active energy to Apple Health. You control Health access in your device settings and can change or revoke permission at any time.

On-device health and workout information

Health information, training targets, and workout history are processed on your devices. Workout records can include dates, duration, interval completion, heart rate, active energy, scores, and progress. The iPhone and paired Apple Watch exchange workout guidance and results to support the companion experience. The Watch may read heart rate, active energy, and workout data with permission.

VOTRAIN does not upload Apple Health samples, health profile values, or workout history to Bay Brands LLC or Supabase servers. This is separate from information you choose to send to support. Apple Health storage, synchronization, and device backups are managed by Apple and your device settings; this policy does not replace Apple’s privacy information.

How we use information

• Provide and personalize VOTRAIN workouts.
• Authenticate your account and support password recovery.
• Display your training zones, workout history, and progress.
• Maintain the security and reliability of the service.

No advertising or tracking

VOTRAIN does not sell your personal information. It does not use Apple Health information for advertising, marketing, data brokerage, or cross-app tracking. The app does not include third-party advertising trackers.

Website hosting and YouTube videos

The website does not connect to Apple Health or receive your app’s health records. Cloudflare provides website hosting and delivery. Serving and protecting the site involves processing technical request information, such as IP address, requested page, browser information, and request time. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Educational video thumbnails load from YouTube’s image service, so your browser contacts Google when those images load, even before you play a video. The embedded video player loads only when you select Play. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player, but this does not mean that no data is processed: playback involves Google receiving technical information and may involve cookies or similar storage and non-personalized advertisements. Google’s handling of that information is described in its privacy policy. You can browse the rest of the website without playing a video.

We do not add advertising pixels or a separate visitor-analytics script to these website pages. Your browser’s cookie and storage controls also apply to third-party content. External links take you to services with their own privacy practices.

Support and service providers

If you email us, we and our email provider receive your email address, message, and any attachments you send so we can respond and troubleshoot. Please do not send passwords or full Apple Health exports. Redact sensitive details from screenshots that are not needed for support.

Supabase provides account authentication, Cloudflare delivers the website, and email services process support and account messages. These providers process the information needed for their respective services. YouTube supplies optional educational content under Google’s own policies; the app does not send Apple Health data to YouTube.

Retention and deletion

Account information is retained to provide your account until it is deleted. In Profile, choose Delete Account and confirm. After a successful request, the sign-in account is deleted and VOTRAIN clears that account’s profile and workout history on the iPhone making the request. If the request fails, contact us; an unsuccessful request does not delete your account.

Account deletion does not delete workouts already written to Apple Health, information on other devices, or copies in backups. Manage Apple Health records and backups separately through Apple’s controls. Provider security logs and backups may remain for their applicable retention periods; deletion should not be understood as immediate erasure of every backup or log.

Support correspondence may remain in our email system after app-account deletion. Contact us to request deletion of that correspondence as well. Some records may need to be retained to meet applicable legal obligations or resolve an outstanding dispute.

Your choices and privacy requests

Apple Health access is optional. You can enter profile values manually and change or revoke Health permissions in Apple Health or device settings. Some live heart-rate features require permission and available readings. Revoking permission stops future access but does not erase previously imported information.

For access, correction, or deletion requests relating to information held by Bay Brands LLC, email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request.” We may need information to verify that the request concerns your account; never send your password. Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have additional rights to obtain a copy of your data, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy regulator. Health records kept only on your devices are managed there, not through our account server.

Security and processing locations

Account communication uses HTTPS, authentication sessions use device-provided secure storage, and the iPhone workout-history file uses device file protection. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your devices and sign-in credentials, and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information by email.

Our service providers operate internationally. Account, support, and website technical information may be processed outside your state or country. This does not change the app’s on-device handling of Apple Health records.

Children’s privacy

VOTRAIN is not directed to children under 13, and Bay Brands LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes and questions

We may update this policy as our services change and will identify the updated date above. Where required, material changes will be accompanied by notice or a request for consent.
